Big News!
WE
have some fun news! Some of you already know, but just indulge me! Everett will tell you:
YEA!!!!!!!!!!! Yep, EVERETT will be the big brother. (Hint, he’s our youngest now!!) We’re having another baby!!!
This is such a special announcement. For those of you that are regular readers, you remember my Answered Prayers 4 part series where I really prayed through what the Lord wanted for my life. Jason and I had about decided we were finished having kids – content with 2. But, through a series of quiet times, God really convicted me that He had more children in store for us. I had to pray through this for a month or so before my wants were caught up with God’s, but I told God immediately that I definitely saw what He was telling us. I don’t think I was that specific in those posts, but I knew that was next for us.
Here’s the neat part to me. I have a crazy cycle and have my whole life. It took four years for us to get pregnant with Katie Beth. With Everett, I wasn’t even ovulating my doctor said. After trying for about a year or so, I took a medicine to make me start and then another (low dose Chlomid) to make me ovulate. We prayed through both of those situations, and were confident that we were in God’s will there.
Well, here this time comes around, and it is NOT my idea to have a baby. It’s definitely the Lord’s. I know the Lord ordained Katie Beth and Everett too. I guess the difference was this was the first time I didn’t want more kids. It was to the point that the little baby ache deep inside of me was GONE. I didn’t even have the desire to HOLD a baby! I would if someone needed me to, but I really just felt sorry for people having babies because of all the work and how tired I knew they were! I was really done done!
Anyway… once I was back on God’s plan with having more, I was dreading how long it would take. I prayed we wouldn’t have to take medicine with this one. But, I figured it’d be a while. BUT, first month that we really tried! (Sorry if TMI!) I share that just to say that it is neat that since God specifically changed our hearts on this issue that He didn’t also make us go through every month hoping and being disappointed. It’s a first for me to have an easy time getting pregnant! It’s just neat. I hurt for those that have trouble because I’ve been there! TWICE! It’s a blessing after all of the struggles to finally be on the other side!
So, long story I know. According to dates we are due March 17th (St. Patrick’s Day). I go to the doctor Tuesday so he may change that according to the ultrasound. We’ll see, and I’ll let you know!
I will be posting on this blog a lot more. I’m just not comfortable putting out to the entire world that I’m pregnant. Too many crazy people. Remember the story where the man saw online that someone was pregnant, tracked across the country, and took her baby before it was born? Sorry for the downer. Just that’s my justification for using the login blog. I’ll give no baby news on the other one.
Love you all! Thanks for reading!!
